We are currently living in challenging times and as a gift to those who would like it, I am offering free ‘learning to let go and deeply relax’ sessions. If you'd like a free relaxation session, please use the online calendar to book a time slot and leave your email address so that we can arrange a zoom/skype/telephone link and I look forward to connecting with you and helping you learn to create a sense of calm no matter what is happening outside.

What you can expect: The ‘learning to let go and deeply relax sessions’ are gifts of 45 minutes together where we can remotely either sit in companionable silence, practise our relaxation breathing, or chat and learn how to bring our nervous systems (which may be in fight/flight/freeze states) into rest and digest mode. Allowing ourselves let go of our fears and bringing ourselves back to stillness is a much needed skill right now and is something I believe all who want to can learn to do. Disclaimer: these are NOT therapy sessions (if you have highly acute symptoms such as suicidality or psychosis I would recommend you contact your doctor/mental health professional or your local crisis team for help). Although I am telephone counselling for one of the charities I work for voluntarily, I am continuing to offer my regular paid online therapy sessions (scroll down for further details) but am unable to offer face to face sessions at this time due to the current travel and social distancing restrictions. The human givens approach is flexible, making use of whatever techniques and approaches will best suit the particular client (cognitive therapy, behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, solution-focused approaches, motivational interviewing, reflective listening and hypnotherapy) while the guiding framework of helping clients meet missing emotional needs and use innate resources is the framework that guides the therapy.
